Candidates for President
I am a 28 year old PR professional with broad experiences in LYMEC. As President I want to make sure the liberal youth will be heard: Send strong messages, get young people engaged in EU politics, train young candidates in the EP elections and hold lawmakers accountable for creating an EU that works for our generation. Let’s create our future, together!
My name is Laura Neijenhuis and I’m running for President of LYMEC! I’m 25 years old, Dutch, working in an advisory firm. In the next bureau I hope to provide fresh energy and enthusiasm! My ambitions for LYMEC are to be a strong voice in the EP elections, to further professionalize and to become more inclusive. Please check my motivation letter, and like the Facebook page! If you have any questions just let me know!
Candidates for Vice President
Hi! I am 27 years old Lithuanian, living in Brussels and a true European at the heart. I am an individual member of LYMEC and have been a Bureau member for the last two years. As the Vice-President I want to make LYMEC more political, professional and efficient organisation ready to seize opportunities ahead the European Parliament Elections in 2019.
Candidates for Treasurer
I want to support LYMEC in campaigning for a liberal victory in the EU elections. We need to increase our personal resources. I want to build up fundraising in the organization and focus on more financial applications. I want to connect LYMEC to interest groups that lie close to our stands on entrepreneurship, innovation, equality, free media and democracy.
Candidates for Bureau Member
I am a convinced European, a truly passionate Liberal and sincerely believe that we must counter the voice of primitive fear by enhancing tolerance and multicultural dialogue, showing that diversity makes what Europe stands for. So let the populist voices be loud – we just need to turn the narrative and show that our challenges could be our best inspiration for change!
van BRUG, Anouk
I am running for the LYMEC bureau because LYMEC is a unique organisation, which plays a vital role in the preparation of young European liberal politicians. LYMEC achieves this goal by organizing events. As your events officer I would like to focus on organizing training events in order to train our members and help them to learn and grow.
CASTELLVÍ CANET, Pau
We need a strong LYMEC that can turn the contributions of young liberals into political reality. However, our vision and hard work are not enough on their own —we also need to engage as many leaders as we can. I want to help us make it happen. Are you on board?
Giving young people the opportunity of good quality of education is a fundamental right in a democracy. Knowledge is the number one tool to make people understand and respect one another. Believing in the equal opportunities for young people to develop themselves through education.
My name is Casper Pedersen, I am a 23 year-old Dane who lives in Copenhagen, were I work as a deputy store manager. With the EP election coming up, it’s more important than ever to have a strategy behind everything we do. As a bureau member, I want a clear communication strategy both internally and for externally communication. We must be seen all over Europe!
Do you want to make LYMEC more political, extra connected and empowering its members? My name is Deimante and I am inviting you to join me. I offer you vision and strategy, wide scale of political, legal and NGO experience and Lithuanian perseverance, which brought independence from the Soviets. This might determine new experience for the next 2 years.
