Maurizio Cuttin

Maurizio currently works in the LYMEC Secretariat as a Policy and Campaigns Intern, where he supports the work of the Secretary General and the Project Officer.

In this role, Maurizio is also responsible for monitoring the latest political developments coming out of the European Parliament and other EU institutions; duties which he then briefs LYMEC’s member organisations on. In addition, he works with LYMEC’s Policy Officer and its Bureau to advance LYMEC’s policy, advocacy and communication goals.

Maurizio is a dual scholarship student currently finishing his master’s in U.S. Foreign Policy at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. He also holds a Bachelor in Politics, Philosophy & Law. Born in Venezuela and having lived in the UK for the majority of his life, Maurizio is particularly passionate about migrant rights, rule of law issues and civic democracy. Beyond academics, Maurizio serves as the UK’s elected Young Ambassador to the European Youth Forum, representing the British Youth Council and millions of young Brits. He is also a long-time member of the Liberal Democrats Party (UK).
