In a landmark meeting in Brussels today the Presidency of the European Union and heads of states from Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova have signed the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area. The aim of these Agreements is to remove barriers for better cooperation and deeper trade relations between these countries and the European Union. Essential in this cooperation is the unification and improvement of administrative procedures and the fight against corruption and fraud.
LYMEC President Vedrana Gujic: “LYMEC congratulates its members Liberal Youth of Moldova, European Youth of Ukraine and the Youth Movement of the Republican Party of Georgia. Today their governments took an important historical step for their future by signing the Association Agreements with the European Union. LYMEC will continue giving full support to further integration of these countries to the European Union and working with our partners on creating more a democratic, free and liberal states and societies.”
With these important steps we are accelerating and deepening the political and economic relations with the EU, as well as the gradual integration in the EU Internal Market. This is a concrete way to use the dynamics in EU relations and enhance EU assistance programmes, focusing on the support to core reforms, economic recovery and growth, governance and sector co-operation.
