The EP Explained – What makes us European? – The 2019 EP Elections

The ALDE Summer Academy will gather close to 100 young liberals and democrats from all over Europe. The list of speakers include MEPs and experts. The participants will also get to work on a joint statement from the hosting organisations. This year's edition of the Summer Academy is a crash-course into the European Parliament, especially aimed at new members or members with little or no prior experience of European policy-making or the legislative process in the European Parliament. We ask of our member organisations to keep this in mind when selecting their applicant(s). Join us in the European Parliament for two days filled with debate and new insight! This event is co-organised by European Liberal Youth and Young Democrats for Europe, the two youth organisations of Alliance for Liberals and Democrats for Europe. There is no participation fee and the accommodation (Wednesday to Friday), breakfast (Thursday and Friday), as well as lunch and dinner on Thursday is covered by the ALDE Group. Participants are eligible for a travel reimbursement of maximum 300 € per person (economy flights / 2 class train). Please note that ALL original tickets and boarding passes are required in order to apply for the reimbursement. There is a limited amount of spaces for LYMEC members to this event, so a selection process securing the regional and organisational balance will be done by the Bureau. Do not buy your tickets before your participation is confirmed. In order to facilitate the selection process we kindly ask International Officers registering more than one person to indicate the priority in the comments for each applicant (1 = first priority, 2 = second priority etc). Please note that you have to be logged in to register, and that you need the passport or ID card number of all people you are registering..
