Are you the next LYMEC IMS Delegate?

We are pleased to announce the annual elections for the IMS delegates for 2024, which will take place from 5 to 8 of January 2024, in light of the upcoming Electoral Spring Congress 2024 and the beginning of the new year. We are now accepting applications for the three available positions!

Deadline for applications is 12 December 2023 at 10h00 am CET (Brussels time). To apply, please send the following materials to [email protected] with [email protected] in cc of the email:

  • A motivation letter (pdf file, max. 500 words)
  • A picture for the website
  • A short motivation/description for the website (max 50 words)
  • Your CV (pdf file)
NB: The CVs will be available on the LYMEC website for the duration of the elections, so please refrain from including personal data such as address, email, phone number etc.

All candidates will be presented on an election website that will open by 14 December 2023. The candidacies will also be sent to all individual members via email, and an online debate between candidates will take place in the days leading up to the elections (the exact date will be determined after the deadline of 12 December 2023). Candidates may also engage in online campaigning on social media via their own channels if they wish.

Please remember that becoming an IMS delegate is a significant commitment that comes with duties. The IMS delegates' roles and duties include representing Individual Members in statutory meetings of LYMEC (Congresses), coordinating IMS input at these meetings (resolutions, motions, and amendments), and liaising with the Steering Committee. The mandate includes two Congresses, therefore we highly recommend individuals to apply only if they would be available to attend the two yearly Congresses (the Electoral Spring Congress between 22 to 24 March 2024 in Brussels, Belgium and the Autumn Congress 2024, dates and location TBC - probably November). Please double-check your duties in our IMS Internal Rules.

The elections will run from 5 January 2023 at 10 h 00 CET am until 8 January 2023 at 10 h 00 CET am (Brussels time). The results will be announced shortly after the end of the elections.

The elections will be held online in accordance with the organisation's statutes. Individual Members who have paid their membership fee by 10 December 2023 are able to run and vote in the elections. IMS will also get a separate email with voting instructions in due course.

If you have any questions concerning your membership status, please contact the Project Officer at [email protected]. If you have any questions or concerns about the elections, please feel free to contact the Project Officer or one of the out-going delegates Felix Schulz or Tim Robinson at [email protected].
