Annemiek van Vliet (NL) graduated from the College of Europe in Bruges with a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy Studies. She also holds an LLM in International Law and International Human Rights Law. In her academic, professional and voluntary activities, she has been focusing on human rights, migration and the rule of law.
Annemiek is specialised in youth and children’s rights and has promoted the rights of young people during her internship at Defence for Children International in the Netherlands. As a Schuman Trainee in the European Parliament, Annemiek has actively followed and supported political debates and policy developments, focusing on citizen’s rights. She is a member of Dutch liberal party D66 and will support the upcoming national election campaign.
At LYMEC, Annemiek will assist in the day-to-day business of the LYMEC office and focus on the organisation of events and communications. She is very committed to let the voices of young liberal Europeans be heard.
