Clara Puig (ES) has known from a very young age that, whatever she did with her life, she wanted it to help others and create a better world. From a young age she has been involved in different volunteering activities (mediation, fundraising, event organizing, student council, Model UN, etc.) that taught her about the importance of empathy and respect for one another. She discovered that often the key to solving any problem was to provide people with the right tools to be able to give the best of themselves. This strengthened her belief in the ability of individuals to create a better world. The only thing they need to do that is being empowered and supported. This is what she does at LYMEC by supporting young people to push forward liberal policies around Europe.
Before LYMEC Clara studied a double degree on International Relations and Translating at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, worked as an open source analyst and translator for la Guardia Civil and for INJUVE (Institute of Youth) and spent a year campaigning to promote participation to the European Elections as an European volunteer in France. All these experiences taught her the importance of youth involvement in the survival and good health of liberal democracy. They also showed her the importance and possibilities of the European project.
