DESCRIPTION:<a href="https://www.lymec.eu/event/policy-debate-post-election
 s-3-126/register">Policy Debate post-elections #3</a>\nMarking the third M
anifesto Policy Debate of the 2024 election season\, this online session w
ill explore the issue of how we navigate the new European Parliament manda
te after the European Elections. This debate is proposed to offer an oppor
tunity for reflection and analysis on the election cycle. As liberals\, we
are prepared with a manifesto which we can use to lobby our new MEPs on w
hile they form key priorities\, and this debate offers an opportunity for
us to move forward proactively. In addition to promoting a lively debate o
n how liberals can chart our path forward in the new mandate\, members wil
l be invited to share their experiences in the campaign period to help us
to enhance and develop the messaging of our policy points. To help us in t
he discussion\, we will address these guiding questions:In light of the Eu
ropean Elections\, what are the two main policy areas which came up for yo
u most in campaigning? How do liberals respond to these areas? What demands
should be at the top of the new mandate’s agenda? What can ALDE and Rene
w Europe do to progress our key priorities in the new mandate? How can we
ensure that our priorities\, as LYMEC\, are included? “Co-funded by the
European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the auth
or(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or E
uropean Commission. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority
can be held responsible for them.”
