Youth participation declined and in several Member States many young vot ers turned to anti-democratic and extremist political forces. This is conc erning and we want to counter this by renewing our reach-out to young peop le and involving them in the shaping of our ideas. In 2025\, the Renew Eur ope Group hosted the first Youth Summit of this mandate: we welcomed 100 y oung people to Parliament for two days. With discussions on topics such as mental health\, the Erasmus program or enlargement\, alongside practical communication trainings\, these days proved to be a rich learning experien ce for all. Also in 2026\, we want to keep the dialogue with youth going: we are again inviting 100 youth participants to a conference where we will work together to develop ideas for change and a better future. The confer ence is designed by young people\, for young people and will offer a space to listen\, collaborate\, and think up concrete solutions. Together\, we will turn ideas into action and shape the future Europe deserves.
