 f opportunities to meet the current leadership and discuss together the ma
 in issues we are facing today in Europe\, it is time for our second LYMEC 
 Digital Assembly of 2026! This event (already our 13th Digital Assembly) w
 ill take place online on Saturday\, 29 August 2026\, from 10 h 00 to 12 h 
 30 CEST – Brussels time (11 h 00 – 13 h 00 EET – Tallinn time). This
  Digital Assembly on "Security in the Baltics" will start with an interact
 ive policy discussion featuring high-level speakers in light of the ongoin
 g tensions in this region\, which neighbours Russia and Belarus. Russia's 
 war of aggression against Ukraine highlighted the security challenges of E
 uropean Member States at the edges of Europe. From the strategic importanc
 e of the Suwałki Gap to the recurrent drone incursions into European airs
 pace\, security and defence are increasingly part of everyday life in the 
 Baltic States. During this event\, we will discuss the challenges the Balt
 ic States are facing in security and defence and present the initiatives t
 aken by these countries\, from the Civil Resilience programme in Lithuania
  to NATO Air Policing and the Baltic Defence Lines. The Digital Assembly w
 ill conclude with the LYMEC Bureau presenting their work\, the Programme o
 f Action for 2026-2028 and sharing their plans for the coming months. This
  will be primarily an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your 
 comments with the current leadership. Questions or comments can be sent to
