 2. The Liberal Hack 2022 aims to challenge our young liberals to explore h
 ow the EU can become a global leader in a fair and democratic digitalisati
 on process\, while being competitive and developing cutting-edge technolog
 y. Our target audience is young European liberals (aged 18-35)\, primarily
  members of LYMEC Member Organisations and Individual Members\, but also E
 LF members\, NGOs and think tanks\, and the general public. A Hackathon wi
 th four teams of four young liberals from all over Europe will discuss pro
 posals for a safe and liberal digitised environment in Europe. They will f
 ocus on one specific technology and problem and find an actionable solutio
 n. They will be able to rank the topics according to preference in the reg
 istration form. The four main technologies our teams are going to deal wit
 h are:Blockchain - Digital CoinArtificial Intelligence - Biometric identif
 ication/Machine learningAugmented Reality applied to digital educationThe 
 Internet of things As the voice of young liberals in Europe\, we want our 
 participants to take an active part in shaping Europe’s future in digita
 l politics\, a topic that is of special relevance and interest to our gene
 ration. With the rapid spread of new infrastructure such as 5G\, we have t
 o come up with an inclusive and innovative strategy that leaves no one beh
 ind\, protects our data and privacy\, but preserves global interaction at 
 the same time. The technology is there\, but a youth-centred plan for its 
 management is not. The main outcomes of the Liberal Hack 2022 will be orga
 nised in a booklet to be advertised and distributed to relevant policy-mak
 ers\, so as to have a bigger societal impact and communication outreach. T
