DESCRIPTION:<a href="https://www.lymec.eu/event/lymec-policy-debate-1-58/re
gister">LYMEC Policy Debate #1</a>\nAs part of the initiative to make our
membership more political\, LYMEC’s Policy Officer and the secretariat h
ave decided to introduce informal policy debates on topical issues relevan
t to European affairs. These debates are optional and will take place in a
n online format. The first debate will focus on discussing how the EU shou
ld deal with citizens coming from authoritarian states. Following calls fo
r a ban on Russian tourist visas to the EU and Hungary being declared as a
non-democratic state\, questions have been raised on how the EU should tr
eat citizens living in these autocracies. Join us on Wednesday 26 October
at 7pm (Brussels time) to have your say and share ideas and opinions with
other young liberals! A link to connect to the event will be sent to IOs a
week before the event. If you have any questions\, please feel free to em
 ail liaison@lymec.eu or laia@lymec.eu.
