Lobbyists, think tanks, activists, diplomats, international organizations, and the media all have an influence on policy. Policy advocacy is an important function for many organizations and individuals in seeking to promote their ideas and polices. The purpose of this seminar and workshop is to analyse and discuss how advocacy can influence policy-making. Through interactive sessions participants will experience hands-on analysis of how to promote liberal ideas and influence European decision makers, and in particular Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). The event is primarily aimed at capacity building of Individual Members (IMS) of LYMEC. The knowledge and skills gained through this event will equip individuals with necessary skills of how to successfully lobby and campaign for liberal ideas at micro level.
