IMS Steering Committee Elections

According to our statutes, the Steering Committee for the IMS has to be elected in the Spring after the Bureau elections. The Steering Committee has three members: one appointed Bureau member and two elected Individual Members. We hereby announce the call for the 2 elected members of the Steering Committee open for the 2022-2024 mandate.

Article 15 – Individual Members Steering Committee

(1) The Individual Member Steering Committee coordinates and organises the Individual Members Section. Its specific duties and rights are specified in the internal rules of the Individual Members’ Section.

(2) The Steering Committee is composed of a bureau member appointed by the bureau and two individual members elected for a term of two years.

The Steering Committee is the organization body of the individual members. It steers, coordinates, oversees and animates the individual members’ section. It liaises with the Bureau for strategic development. The Steering Committee represents individual members.

We are looking for candidates who are motivated to develop the working structures of the Steering Committee, implement further the IMS reform and are able to dedicate sufficient time for it.

Deadline for applications for the Steering Committee of the IMS is Monday, 13 June 2022 at 16 h 00 Brussels time (CEST).

To apply, please send the following materials to [email protected] and [email protected]:

  • A motivation letter
  • Your CV
  • A picture (minimum 300*300 pixels)
  • A short (max 50 word) motivation for the website

NB: The CVs will be available on the LYMEC webpage for the duration of the elections, so please refrain from including personal data such as address, phone number etc.

All candidates will be presented on an election website that will open by Tuesday 14 June 2022. An online debate between the candidates will also be organised before the elections, exact dates will be determined in consultation with the candidates.

All Individual Members who have registered and paid their membership fee by 6 June 2022 are eligible to run and vote in the elections. If you are unsure about the status of your membership, log in on the website, or contact assistant@lymec.eu.

The elections will take place between Friday 24 June at 14 h 00 CEST and Monday 27 June at 14 h 00 CEST.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact [email protected] or [email protected].

IMS Delegate Partial Elections

Since one of the IMS Delegates elected in January resigned from her role, we hereby announce the partial elections to be held on 24-27 June 2022 to elect one IMS delegate who will work together with Tim Robinson and Felix Schulz (LYMEC IMS Delegates) for 2022. We hereby open the call for candidacies for the position!

Deadline for applications is Monday, 13 June 2022 at 16 h 00 Brussels time (CEST).

To apply, please send the following materials to [email protected] and [email protected]:

  • A motivation letter (pdf file)
  • Your CV (pdf file)
  • A picture (minimum 300*300 pixels) for the website
  • A short (max 50 words) motivation for the website
NB: The CV’s will be available on the LYMEC website for the duration of the elections, so please refrain from including personal data such as address, phone number etc.

All candidates will be presented on an election website that will open by Tuesday 14 June 2022. The candidacies will also be presented in an email to all individual members, and an online debate between candidates will take place between the days before the elections (exact date will be defined after the deadline for candidacies).

The tasks and duties of the IMS delegates are to represent the Individual Members at the statutory meetings of LYMEC (Congresses), to coordinate the IMS input at these meetings: resolutions, motions and amendments, and to liaise with the Steering Committee.

Please keep in mind that being an IMS delegate is a serious commitment and you will have responsibilities. There is one Congress left in the mandate, therefore we strongly encourage people to only apply if you certainly can attend the Autumn Congress in November 2022. Please double-check your duties in our IMS Internal Rules.

The elections will run from Friday 24 June at 14 h 00 CEST and Monday 27 June at 14 h 00 CEST. The results will be announced shortly after the end of the elections.

The elections will be conducted online, in accordance with the statutes of the organisation. A separate email with instructions regarding the voting will be sent in due time. All Individual Members who have paid their membership fee by 6 June 2022 are eligible to run and vote in the elections. If you are unsure about the status of your membership, contact [email protected].

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact [email protected] and [email protected], or one of the IMS Delegates Tim and Felix at [email protected].
