In memoriam to a great Liberal

It is with grave sadness we receive the news that ALDE Party President, Hans van Baalen has passed away early this Friday. Throughout the years of devoted political work, Mr van Baalen has shown great dedication to liberalism on both the national and international level serving as a member of the Dutch House of Representatives, Member of the European Parliament, President of Liberal International and lately President of  the ALDE Party. To us, the European Liberal Youth, Hans van Baalen has always been a great partner and a friend and we had the pleasure to have him at our Spring Congress 2021 only one week ago. He inspired our members to make themselves heard and never stop fighting for what they believe in. Our deepest condolences to Mr van Baalen’s family and friends. He will be missed but his contributions to the liberal community will not be forgotten.
