Candidates for President
For two years we worked hard on LYMEC’s policy. I would like to continue from the strong platform we built together to
- have LYMEC’s message get out and be heard;
- make sure that young liberals shape the future of Europe;
- create more opportunities for our members to get skills for the future.
Because together, we can do more!
Candidates for Vice President
I would like to bring my executive experience from building a successful grassroots movement in Hungary into LYMEC. We need proactive operational reform to live up to LYMEC’s full potential. There is are immense opportunities in conducting Campaigns together and using our political capital in the EU institutions. Let’s make LYMEC an UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION together.
Candidates for Treasurer
I am running for Treasurer of LYMEC because I believe LYMEC is an organisation with great potential. To unlock all this and to assure that the rest of the Bureau can reach their full potential, orderly finances will be crucial. I hope to use my experience as Treasurer, enthusiasm and work ethic to make LYMEC ready for the future.
Candidates for Bureau Member
I am running for bureau member because I am a strong believer in the power that people have when they stand together to defend their ideals. Only by unleashing the full potential of you, its Member Organisations, and caring for one another, will LYMEC be the strongest advocate for freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
Let’s not be scared to re-think old processes and to try something new in order to enable progress and growth. I would like to bring in my years of experience and new ideas to open up LYMEC, build capacities for engagement and make international politics accessible to even more members.
APPLICATION WITHDRAWN – explanatory letter available here!
I’m running for the LYMEC bureau because I wish to devote my time and energy to furthering the cause of young liberals in Europe. In these troubled times we must up our game to answer the threats to our liberal-democratic values.
I would be an asset to LYMEC, being able to draw from years of relevant experience, and a strong work ethos.
My name is Paolo, I’m 27, and I am a youth worker from Croatia. I’m running for the position of Bureau Member with one goal, to help grow and develop an open, liberal, free and equal Europe. I would like to focus on youth, how to tackle some issues and help individuals and organisations become more effective in activating youngsters.
ABDURAKHMAN, Ruslan Rubenovich
Hello everyone, I’m Ruslan. I was born in Moscow in 1992, and I’m a dual citizen (RUS-ITA). I joined Lymec to make a change, because Liberalism to me is the only instrument that could solve many of today’s problems. My commitment is for personal and economic freedom, and for a United Europe! Together we’ll make the difference!
After 5 years of active membership at LYMEC, I want to take a step forward and place my gathered experience at LYMEC’s disposal. If elected as LYMEC Bureau Member, I will be working on improving our policy structure and plan, our transparency, our Individual Members‘ Section and our internal and external network. I count on you!
I want to work for a more inclusive LYMEC that truly represents all young, European liberals. I also want LYMEC to be more political and drive more thematic campaigns to highlight the policies from our Policy Book. Furthermore, LYMEC is nothing without its MOs, and therefore I want to focus even more on strengthening LYMEC’s Member Organisations.
Elections for other positions
I have been a longstanding member of the Estonian Reform Party Youth (ERPY) and have had the honour during this time to both serve as a Board Member and an International Officer. I am currently working as an anti money laundering investigator for a fintech startup, where my everyday work revolves around reviewing high risk behaviour and excluding the potential risk of financial crime occurring.
I am most attracted towards LYMEC for the liberal platform it provides to many young Europeans, for whom their relevant political agenda is not limited to their current country of residence or even nationality. LYMEC has the power of changing these persons’ lives by presenting them a broader spectrum of liberal ideas and experiences, which can in the end, up to the person’s choice, be used in both the public and the private sector, benefiting Europe overall.
Sanda Krekikj, Msc is the International officer of the Liberal Democratic youth – LiDeM in North Macedonia. She holds bachelor’s degree in economy and master’s degree in department of finance and banking. Sanda has 9 years of working experience in several positions, all connected in the field of finance. Currently she is Executive director of non – governmental organization ‘’ Liberal Institute – Skopje’’.
At the same time, she is dedicated to humanitarian causes and raising the awareness of the women in politics. Through the Liberal Institute she organised an Academy for Young Women Leaders.
LYMEC Representative to IFLRY
Anna Komziuk currently holds the position of LDLU European officer and previously served as the acting Human Resources officer. For the last 4 years, Anna has shown great potential at both international and European liberal levels. She has gained vast experience and inspiration being engaged in various LYMEC and IFLRY activities. Taking into account her strong communication skills, understanding of human resources essence and deep commitment to liberal values, we are pleased to nominate Anna to contribute to our European liberal family of LYMEC through the work at the global level of IFLRY. During the time spent within our organisation, she has developed a professional approach to mediation and arbitration matters, as well as demonstrated capacity in the area of international negotiations and management.
LYMEC Delegation to ALDE Party Congress 2020
Inspired by the results reached by LYMEC at ALDE congress in Athens, I want to capitalise on the diplomatic and political insights I have gained and put myself forward as a member of the next delegation. We need to make our voices heard, because without a strong LYMEC delegation that does so, decisions will be made for us, not by us.
Being part of the LYMEC Delegation is so much more than attending an ALDE Congress under the LYMEC flag. It’s heavy preparations with the whole delegation months before the congress, it’s teamwork, it’s putting forward LYMECs content and fighting for it and it’s networking with other ALDE organisations to put LYMECs interests on the map. But most of all, it’s representing the liberal youth of Europe with all we have.
The motivation is definitely there, I just need your vote so that I can be able to represent you in the best way possible!
Gender equality, Recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic and Environmental and Health Protection are my main motivations to join the teamwork of the LYMEC Delegation to the ALDE Party Congress 2020. As a delegate I want to help our next policy officer deliver for our policy in our congress! The preparation will be hard but I will have the time and motivation to do this with a fresh attitude. Let’s do this together!
After many years in LYMEC I decided to put myself forward as a candidate to the LYMEC delegation to ALDE Party Congress in Sweden.
In my five years in LYMEC I learned to speak my mind internationally, to be diplomatic and fight for the liberal ideas. In the delegation I will be an active, dynamic and dedicated liberal voice, who loves a good debate and the process of making politics. If possible I will use my voice as young liberal candidate for the Danish parliament, for Venstre – The Liberal Party of Denmark, to get our politics through the Congress.
I really hope that you will let me be part of the hard and exciting work, by voting on me at the online congress.
