The rights of minorities have been and remain key priorities for young liberals. While the LYMEC policy includes some resolutions on specific minority groups, we feel more needs to be done for LYMEC to have a strong and comprehensive position on minority rights. The Working Group on Minority Rights would like to explore the topic further with the aim of developing this position. The objectives for the working group will be the following:

  1. Develop resolutions on minority rights for the LYMEC policy book;
  1. Raise awareness in LYMEC about minority rights issues;
  1. Inform LYMEC’s upcoming European election manifesto on minority rights issues

Duration:

Until the Spring Congress (with the possibility of extension)

The Working Group will be working online and is open for all members of LYMEC member organisations and individual members.

If you would like to join the working group, please sign up by sending an email to assistant(a)lymec.eu by Friday, November 17th, at 12:00 noon Brussels time (CET). Please indicate which email you will be using as we need that to set up the online platform for the Working Group.
