Meet our young liberal candidates for the European Elections - one day to go!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a pivotal moment for our future – the European election. As citizens, we hold the power to influence the direction in which Europe will move. As changemakers, we are responsible to inspire as many voters as we can to head to the ballots.

Don’t let others decide the fate of Europe. Take a stand for the values you believe in. Vote liberal and be a part of the change you wish to see!

Meet: Svenja Hahn

As a MEP, Svenja Hahn has been working for a strong, digital and future-proof economy that creates jobs and opportunities for Europeans. She has also fought for more free trade with likeminded partners to strengthen European economy and reduce dependency from autocracies. She is running in the European elections as number 2 on the FDP list in Germany in order to continue building an even better Europe.

Meet: Nikolai Tange Kristensen

Nikolai is a young social liberal candidate for the Radikale Party in Denmark as number 18. He believes that we should accelerate the process of integrating Ukraine into the EU and build a common foreign policy within the EU, allowing it to become a humanistic superpower. A stronger Union is the only way to address our time's most pressing issues: war in Europe, big tech companies, and the climate crisis.

Meet: Elsie Gisslegård

Elsie got started in politics following the Brexit referendum in order to prevent Sweden from following Britain's path. She represented her country in the Conference on the Future of Europe. Now, she is studying for a Master's Degree in Political Economy of Europe at LSE, and works for the campaign group Best for Britain in London, while running for European Parliament in Sweden for Centerpartiet as number 8

Meet: Julius Lajtha

Julius is a long-term pro-EU activist with the Young European Federalists (JEF) and the European Youth Parliament (EYP) during his past international experiences in Austria, France, the UK and Belgium. He currently works on improving pan-EU rail connectivity in the strategic capacity planning for the German national track operator. Currently acting as International Officer of his Austrian youth party JUNOS, his political priorities are sustainable and affordable mobility and more participatory democracy to enable the creation of a true European societal consciousness. He holds spot 25 on the NEOS list in Austria.
