Marking the third Manifesto Policy Debate of the 2024 election season, this online session will explore the issue of how we navigate the new European Parliament mandate after the European Elections. This debate is proposed to offer an opportunity for reflection and analysis on the election cycle. As liberals, we are prepared with a manifesto which we can use to lobby our new MEPs on while they form key priorities, and this debate offers an opportunity for us to move forward proactively. 

In addition to promoting a lively debate on how liberals can chart our path forward in the new mandate, members will be invited to share their experiences in the campaign period to help us to enhance and develop the messaging of our policy points. To help us in the discussion, we will address these guiding questions:

• In light of the European Elections, what are the two main policy areas which came up for you most in campaigning? How do liberals respond to these areas?

• What demands should be at the top of the new mandate’s agenda?

• What can ALDE and Renew Europe do to progress our key priorities in the new mandate? How can we ensure that our priorities, as LYMEC, are included?
