This tripartite initiative aims to provide decision makers across Balkan states with a list
of policy proposals on how to achieve a more liberal agenda on education. The project is mainly
focused on young people aged 14-34 who are undergoing high school or university studies, have
already graduated or are part of an ongoing learning process. Our project consists firstly of an
ample consultation phase where we aim to gather replies from at least 1,000 young persons in
the region. In the second phase of this project, the replies gathered will be discussed with experts
and in the final phase we will formulate a list of policy proposals which will be transmitted to
the Ministries of Education of the countries involved and to the members of Parliaments part of
Education Committees. Our project’s final outcome will be a list of at least 5 policy proposals
through which we want to liberalize education for young persons and further cooperation on this
topic in Europe. We also strive to push governments to give 6% of GDP for Education.
The organizers of this project, under the leadership of LYMEC - European Liberal Youth, are USR Tineret (Romania), Nasa Stranka Youth (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Young Liberals Greece.
