This seminar will bring together liberal youth leaders from across Europe to discuss how to embrace and promote diversity in our societies and especially in our own organisations. Young Liberal Leaders share their experiences of diversity and an inclusive culture in their organisations. Together the leaders map shared challenges to be reconsidered at the end of the event.   Topic 2: Expert session on diversity and gender equality The participants are presented with presentations and workshops with experts on diversity and gender equality, striving to get participants into an analytic mind-set towards their own organisation and delve into new methods to changing organisational culture towards a more inclusive culture in liberal youth organisations.   Topic 3: Shared trouble-shooting and trouble-solving session The session focuses on answering the following questions through non-formal educational methods, using personal experiences from the youth organisations represented: - How can we include more non-white youth, females and non-heterosexual youth in liberal politics? - How can we make organisational culture more inclusive and less normative? - Who is responsible for diversity and gender equality in the organisation? - What does a diversified representation mean? - How can we tackle the detected challenges? The session is finalised by a debate on LYMEC's draft diversity plan as an example of steps towards a more inclusive organisation.   This seminar is free of charge for the participants, and we offer a travel reimbursement of up to 200 Euros per person. Deadline for applications to the event is 8 August. The event is exclusively aimed at the presidents of LYMEC member organisations as well as the SC of the IMS. As all LYMEC events, this seminar also applies the rules of late cancellation and no show fees: Cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to the event leads to a late cancellation fee of 50 euro, and cancellation less than 48 hours prior to the event or not attending at all leads to a late cancellation fee of 75 euro.
