Latest COVID update (28/08/20)    *** Due to the restrictions in place, the conditions to organise even partially the event in-person are not in place therefore this event will be taking place fully online ***   Travelling to Latvia Travelling from the following countries is allowed without restrictions: Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, as well as Liechtenstein, Norway, Vatican City. An updated list of countries for which entry to Latvia is restricted is available on the Latvian Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. Countries marked as red or yellow have registered infections above the allowed threshold. A list of countries for mandatory 14-day isolation upon arrival is periodically updated.   1. We follow closely and evaluate the situation through the reopen EU page to check restrictions.
  2. We advice for representatives from risk groups not to come but rather connect online for the events (possibility to be hybrid will be offered - also in case of restrictions). 
  3. If more than 30% of the organisations are unable to attend in person due to restrictions then we move the discussion under alert - emergency planning with the Bureau potentially moving it online. 
  4. Representatives attending should commit to not come if sick/with symptoms or were in close contact with a sick person. Then, no show fees won’t apply. 
  5. Event specific regular updates on a weekly basis on the website page will be made starting second part of August.

This seminar is free of charge for the participants (accommodation is included), and we offer a travel reimbursement of up to 150 Euros per person upon completion of the relevant form and presentation of required documents (tickets, invoices, boarding pass ...). The event is taking place in Riga, Latvia.   Due to COVID-19, we are constantly monitoring the situation and assessing the feasibility of the in-person event. For the time being, the event is set to take place in Riga. In any case, do not book any travels before receiving an official confirmation that your application has been accepted. This won't happen before mid-August.    The event is exclusively aimed at the Presidents of LYMEC member organisations as well as the SC of the IMS.   As all LYMEC events, this seminar also applies the rules of late cancellation and no show fees: Cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to the event leads to a late cancellation fee of 50 euro, and cancellation less than 48 hours prior to the event or not attending at all leads to a late cancellation fee of 75 euro. Participants need to be minimum 18 years old at the start of the event. Do not book any travels before receiving an official confirmation email from the LYMEC office.
