COVID-19 has hardly hit the European Union and most of the countries in Europe. Following a very deep health crisis due to this world pandemic, an economic crisis is following bringing many countries in to very challenging situations.
We as young liberals must come up with the solutions of the future and new ideas but also ways to face the crisis and continue implementing our core missions. 2020 has shown how young liberals can stay strong and united when facing such a global crisis, by working together, we can ensure that young people from all over Europe get a voice. LYMEC but also our various Member Organisation have adapted their way of working, we came up with new formats or organised very interesting online events.
We would like LYMEC to act as a platform to share and get inspired. That’s why we propose the “From our MOs” communication where we gather from our member organisations good practices about actions and events that they have been doing in the last year when facing the crisis.
If you find relevant to share one or two of your actions, please send us a document (maximum 2 pages) with the following:
- Name of your activity
- Format/Concept (min 75 words)
- Amount of people participating
- Target group
- Dates
- Description of the activity (min 100 words)
- Outcomes of the activity
- Potential partners
- Include pictures and visuals (if any available)
What we want?
Please share with us any activity that took place in 2020 as a response to the challenges faced in your countries during the COVID pandemic. The activity should show an innovative and fresh format/concept as well as contributing to the broad mission of LYMEC through identified outcomes. Respect of COVID related rules in place at the time of the activity is a must.
Selection will be mainly made based on the following points:
- Innovative concept
- Tangible outcomes
- Relevance with regard to the challenges faced
Please send your inputs to LYMEC at office@lymec.eu and laia@lymec.eu before 1 March 2021 (deadline extended). We will then gather the best examples and send out a communication to our MOs and broader network. The overall aim is to enable MOs to inspire each other and to give ideas for future activities and cooperation.
The final output will be visually appealing and get visibility on Social Media as well.
