The EU has made it a priority to involve more women in its top leadership roles and as policy-makers, as we see currently under the Von der Leyen Commission, but women, and especially young women, still face significant barriers, both at a national and at a European level, when trying to get involved and, later, pursuing a successful career as politicians. In this event, we want to acknowledge that fact, establish a network of young Liberal women, uncover the main barriers that we face, may they be common or nation-specific, and discuss a way forward. It aims to be highly dynamic and participatory, with the assistance of high-profile role models that will help us with their experience, guidance and inspiration.
