We have released a joint statement alongside Radikal Ungdom, Venstres Ungdom and Unge Moderater concerning Greenland sovereignty.
As young liberals from Europe and Denmark, we strongly oppose the renewed rhetoric of the President of the United States and his claims over Greenland, a self-governing territory of the Kingdom of Denmark.
Once again, Greenland’s sovereignty is being challenged through the misleading argument that the United States “needs Greenland from the standpoint of national security.” Such assertions are morally indefensible and strategically dangerous.
