Editor in chief

Anes Hodžić

Anes Hodžić is a political scientist born and raised in the small town of Tešanj in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He finished his undergraduate and graduate studies at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Sarajevo where he obtained a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. He is the international officer for the Youth Forum of Naša stranka, which is a youth wing of Našastranka, the only liberal party in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has a long experience working with lawmakers at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Apart from being involved in internal politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and having experience in dealing with foreign relations in the Western Balkans, his area of interest includes foreign policy analysis, human rights issues, and the use of data science in politics. He has been part of Libertas editorial team for the last two years.

Managing Editors

Mikael Freitag Pedersen

Mikael is a Danish student of Business Administration and Psychology at Copenhagen Business School and serves as Managing Editor of Libertas. He has experience from NGOs, political organizations, and youth movements, including roles in communications, campaign management, and organizational leadership. He currently serves on the executive board of Liberal Youth of Denmark, where he chairs the International Committee and represents the organization in European liberal networks. His interests include European democracy, international cooperation, foreign policy, and the role of liberal ideas in strengthening democratic institutions.

Vinayakan Sajeev Beena

He serves as Managing Editor of Libertas, having previously been part of the editorial board as Economy and Trade Editor. He is a pluralist economist pursuing an MSc in Economics and Public Policy at the University of Bologna and has worked as an Open Innovation Analyst at CRIF HQ in Italy. He has been awarded the Frédéric Bastiat and Don Lavoie Fellowships at the Mercatus Center, the Youth Leadership Fellowship from the Centre for Public Policy Research (Atlas Network), and the Public Policy New Voices Europe Fellowship from Salzburg Global. Vinayakan is the co-founder of the Institute for Queer Economics and a board member of the Italian libertarian queer organisation Certi Diritti. He previously served as National Coordinator for Students For Liberty and was a Prometheus Fellow.

Dina Shavala


Dina Shavala is a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and is currently continuing her studies in a master’s program in the same field. She is currently a volunteer news writer at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center and an associated member of the NGO “European Youth of Ukraine.” She currently lives in Ukraine.


Rares-Lucian Moceanu 


I am a young French-Romanian law student at the University of Strasbourg and have had a passion for writing since childhood. As a convinced pro-European and member of the international relations department of USR Tineret, I enjoy researching and writing about politics, international affairs and sport, particularly football.
