LYMEC is pleased to support the 2025 edition of the Summit of Young Elected Local and Regional Leaders, organised by the Renew Europe Group in the European Committee of the Regions. This platform is in cooperation with Renew Europe pan-European youth movements such as LYMEC and YDE.
This annual event offers a platform for young liberal-democrat politicians to exchange ideas, share best practices, and strengthen their leadership in local and regional governance.
2025 Theme: Housing – Bridging Perspectives
This year’s summit will focus on the complex housing challenges faced by young people, both as citizens and as elected representatives working to address these issues in their communities.
Who Can Apply
- Be aged 18–35
- Hold an elected mandate at the local or regional level (in government or opposition)
- Be affiliated with a Renew Europe youth organisation (e.g. LYMEC, YDE)
- Hold an additional leadership role (e.g. committee chair, spokesperson, deputy mayor)
*Please ensure leadership responsibilities are clearly outlined in your application.
Practical Information
- Travel and accommodation for selected participants will be covered.
- The working language is English.
- A detailed agenda will be shared with confirmed participants.
