Sanneke Vermeulen

My name is Sanneke Vermeulen, 29 years old. I was born and raised in Roosendaal in the Netherlands and also living there now. My educational background is in Business Communication and Digital Media (MSc). I am currently working in the energy sector as an ICT project manager at grid operator Enexis Groep. Besides my work I am an entrepreneur. Since April 2017 I have continued my beer brewing hobby by selling my own beers on the local commercial market. I have also been working as a councilor in the municipality of Roosendaal since March 2018. The liberal values ​​of personal responsibility, social justice and equality are very important to me.
I have been interested in politics and the liberal party (ALDE/VVD) for years. For example, I am a member of the JOVD and I have always been active politically as a support group member and duo councilor. As committee chairman, I also wrote the election program for the municipal elections in 2018 and 2022 for the local VVD. In the same elections, in 2018 I was elected 2nd on the list of preferential votes as a councilor. At the coming elections I am the 1st on the list as leader of the local VVD party. I now fulfill this function with great pleasure.
